Nixa has a lot of support from the community, which leads us to have great facilities and resources available to the students.

I feel unsafe in that school so many times. I go to school and it's only a good day when I don't get Injured. The students and teachers make you feel unsafe, and the schoolwork is fairly easy. They always brag about how good their test scores are but that's only because they give us the easiest work imaginable. I don't like to try anymore, and I never socialize because I'm afraid of being made fun of and hate going to school every day. Instead of the board trying to stuff money in their pockets and worrying about test grades they should be worrying for the safety of the people who go to Nixa and have to endure what I have to. I feel terrible for other kids who feel the same and these adults make it seem like such a good place but in all its like living in Hell every single day. If any admin is reading this, please consider putting the safety of the children who go to your schools over the money and test scores you brag about so much.

Nixa is a massive school which makes it hard to feel welcome when it comes to other students. The school its self is amazing and the teachers and curriculum is great.

Terrible approach at issues, several teachers are lacking effective methods of learning (The whole point of school) and instead prefer to give piles of homework each night, they ignore people asking for help and put you down for not being caught up or being confused. The last time I had a good learn...

It’s the first year at Nixa High School and it has been great thusfar. The teachers are very engaged with my child. They go above and beyond to ensure his needs are met. The student body has been friendly and welcoming to a new student.

Overall, Nixa teachers are fairly reasonable and are generally willing to work with students. Some issues with individual teachers, but for the most part, some great teachers and great students. Absence policies could use work, as could a couple others, but truly not a bad experience.
