The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It is a wonderful school overall, all of my teachers have been wonderful and willing to help me. Even the counselors and principals are amazing.

It was decent over all but sometimes it felt like going to school was a chore and more fun opportunities or fun days would help

I moved to North Allegheny during my sophomore year of high school. It was complicated moving and attempting to meet new people. The instant I walked through the entrance, I felt welcomed. The teachers were respectful and knowledgeable. I have encountered many new people I anticipate having in my life for a while. I am grateful I had the opportunity to attend this school, as I have learned a lot.
One of the best school systems around. The experience is what you make it. Be friendly, work hard and be respectful and all will be an great experience. Life what you make it.

Overall an awful experience to go there as a student. If you fit in with the kids and are just like everyone else, you are fine. But if you are different from everyone else in terms of skin color, behave differently, etc. then expect to be heavily bullied. Don't expect teachers to stop them either....
