At Hopkins Road Elementary, a public school that is part of the Chesterfield County School District, students are encouraged to take advantage of the educational and personal opportunities for success. This school understands that students can build strong and lasting memories with faculty and peers through clubs. Clubs offer the opportunity for students to not only have an experience they are personally invested in, but a safe space to make new friends and build social skills. A completely voluntary club is Chorus. Chorus consists of 4th and 5th graders who perform several times a year at various school and local community events.
The Home of the Bobcats serves roughly 800 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 5th. Students at this school are making average academic progress from grade-to-grade in comparison to the rest of their peers in the state. Hopkins Road supports all learners, and has a gifted education program for learners who demonstrate the potential for advanced thinking and reasoning, as well as creativity and high achievement when compared to their peers. There is a referral process for gifted education, and there are referral windows during which students are screened and referrals are accepted.
