The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

As someone who graduated from here and now has a child in this school I wish I could say it's improved but it hasn't. The administration is a total joke! There is a high teacher turn over and the kids spend more time taking field trips than they do actually learning. The environment is toxic!

NHCS has a very small student to teacher ratio which makes the learning much more hands on. Students are encouraged to be themselves. Sports is also a big thing for NHCS and the North Haven community.
NHCS may be the smallest K-12 school in the state of Maine but it is a unique learning environment where students can play an active role in their education. This is a great little school.
