GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

This is my fourth years at Cheyenne and this school is actually as bad as people say it is. Cheyenne seems to have a bad reputation as that school but in reality it's probably better than all those schools when it comes to activities and events involving the student body. As a third year student council member I have seen first hand how this school has changes since it's opened back up after COVID and it's definitely not what everyone says it is. I will say though that there have been some teachers that have been subpar. One example would have to be my Spanish teacher sophomore year she was kinda racist towards white people and would go on about how girls dress now. Another would be my math teacher junior year he was very bad at teaching and blamed everybody else for it by calling us students names like stupid and dumb. Other than a couple bad apples Cheyenne is actually a pretty good school though and nothing like the reputation we seem to have for some reason.

At Cheyenne there was a lot of resources to help you get your work done and they had a lot of events to help pass your tests. For example, they had a tutoring session on all subjects to help students pass their ACT's. What Cheyenne could do better is have more exposure to the arts program so it can thrive and have more recruitment for those programs.

My experience at Cheyenne high school hasn't always been the best just because they lack to educate the students on how serious bullying is and I feel as though the topic is ignored rather then addressed.

The lack of communication between the administration and parents is incredibly frustrating. I have sent countless emails and left voicemails for different counselors and staff, trying to get issues resolved. Nothing. They don’t want to address the issues, just move kids around and wonder why they do...

School has not even started and already had two problems! We had to go to pick up chrome books at an assigned time on Monday. When we got there they would not give the chrome books without a birth certificate, power bill and shot records. No one had said to bring these items, they told us to go get...
