I started high school as soon as covid was over. The transition from being home all day to being at an actual school was not so bad due to the small class sizes. At VIP you have the chance to truly know your teachers, and all the admin. Being a student at vip means you are a part of the vip family. Vip is a small community that is so welcoming and supporting in every way. All adults at vip will support to be the best of yourself that you could possibly be, they strive to help you succeed.

I struggled at every school I attended until I came to this school in my freshmen year and I received the help that I needed. I never thought that I could succeed in school but I did and I did it here. The teachers here actually care about you and your mental health. If you ask for help you will receive it. You're encouraged to speak freely and critically. Since this school is so small you know everyone and they know you. You always feel important. I've just graduated here and I feel very well equipped to start this new chapter in my life. I mean, before, I knew nothing of the college application process and I didn't think I would be able to even attend college because I was in such a bad place financially, but my college advisor Anne Cochran reassured and showed me that there would be a way for me to attend college. If it wasn't for this school I don't think I would be here today. I went from failing middle school to having straight As. I never knew I could grow so much as a person.

My daughter is in her senior year and has done all of her high school here. We absolutely love the smaller student size, the admin, the building, the music lab department! And Anne is so knowledgeable and helpful with college prep!
