The good parts were the diversity, the majority of teachers who taught well the subjects that were given to students, and I had support throughout my high school years whether it was homework all the way up to making sure I graduated with everything I needed. The worst parts however were that I wished some opportunities were available to us when we started instead of closer to when we were meant to graduate (such as community college courses and other kinds of classes).

My experience at castlemont has been great. I love the school spirit. The teachers are very emotionally connected with the students and always push them to do their work and never get lazy. The worst part about the school is the school fights and the lack of security around the school.

Castlemont is a school where most people think it is one of the worst schools to go to in Oakland, CA. But in reality, Castlemont has been an amazing school that has a lot of opportunities for its students. It has been the best 4 years of my school years while attending Castlemont. We are overcoming the rumors that the city and district has about this school and is making it a truly better place for everyone.
