My overall experience while being at Skyline High school for 3 years has changed my perspective of how I thought skyline would be. The beginning of my senior year it was going good until there was a school shooting on the fire road in the back of our school staff and students felt unsafe but the next day we still had to come to school the oakland unified school district would have lost out on money if they cancelled school for that day. Us students felt as our safety wasn't concerned to our school and the oakland unified school district because it traumatized a huge amount of students . Skyline has always been a diverse school and all the students had always came together to make pep rally's fun and other school activities and events better than what it is now. There can be changes that can be made by asking students how they feel about skyline and get advice on what can happen to make the school more safe and comfortable.

My kid loves Skyline. This school had some problems and was without leadership a few years ago. The principal was on leave (and kept extending it) and the district didn’t replace her until the following year. You could feel how stretched thin staff was and it was reflected also in student behavior....

Skyline High School has offered an enriching experience for our daughter. Surrounded by trees, the large campus's natural setting encourages student engagement with gardening and environmental studies, and adds to students' general health and well-being. The class offerings include a range of AP cou...

Skyline has overall been a great experience for my two kids. They have had access to a variety of classes that challenge them academically but also give them hands-on practical experiences. The teachers and counselors are supportive. The student body and staff are diverse and everyone seems excited...

Do not send your kids here. Do not work here. It is under collapse. No support from admin. No support from teachers. Kids roam the campus and do what they want with no consequences
