I got my degree in 1966 when I first started in 1963 there were 7 black students partly because of the crazy borders. Some students lived closer to Oakland High if you lived in Oakmore and some lived closer to Oakland Tech. Most of my teachers could care less but I did have a wonderful busness teacher mrs. Bruns and one of my English teachers mŕs Everhart mrs Johnson my social study teacher. Even though I would have liked to have gone to private school and beged my mother to go I decided to go to Skyline anyway. Mother said She would have to use my after school earnings that was placed in trust an invested in stock and Iwould have it in full when I was 21. When I graduated I had $5000 1n 1966 dollars this bought a Cadillac and when I was 21 I had $8,500 and bought Real Estate like crazy an beca.e a midle class millionaire. I understand Skyline is ow rayed the 2ed worce High School in the country . If this is true there needs ha ve some changes made.

The school is not safe. Kids wander and do drugs all day with no accountability. Adults have been attacked by kids coming onto campus that don't go there. Admin hide in their office all day and the 'safety' staff just hang out and talk with the students cutting class. Teachers do what they can but are broken down by the lack of help and having to teach outdated material and kids doing what they want.

I would like to see the students more united.. what I mean is more love and kindness. Less violence. It would be nice to see some more school culture too.

The community feels very strong and the students are excited about learning and work really hard. There...

As a parent of an exceptional disabled student, I am pleased with this school. What stands out the most is that administrators, teachers and staff bring their own children to Skyline High School. My child has advanced through her college education while still in high school by accumulating almost 30...
