I feel that Skyline high school is a very diverse school with a great campus culture. There is a ton of great staff who are ready to help students and an amazing college and career center. There have been many ups and downs in terms of safety though in my past two years as a rising junior including shootings and fights. The school offered many mental health options for students but I feel more could've been done to prevent these concerns. Otherwise I feel that Skyline offers a wide variety of options for students to further their education and gain opportunities.

My overall experience while being at Skyline High school for 3 years has changed my perspective of how I thought skyline would be. The beginning of my senior year it was going good until there was a school shooting on the fire road in the back of our school staff and students felt unsafe but the next day we still had to come to school the oakland unified school district would have lost out on money if they cancelled school for that day. Us students felt as our safety wasn't concerned to our school and the oakland unified school district because it traumatized a huge amount of students . Skyline has always been a diverse school and all the students had always came together to make pep rally's fun and other school activities and events better than what it is now. There can be changes that can be made by asking students how they feel about skyline and get advice on what can happen to make the school more safe and comfortable.

My 10th grader goes to Skyline and my 8th grader will be coming to Skyline next year. We adore the teachers, principal, and parent community. Everyone is very dedicated to Skyline and the kids' success. I highly suggest coming to Skyline and experiencing our gem of a public school. Go Titans!
