GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The teachers are good and want you to graduate. The students run the school and administration does nothing to fix any of the issues, such as drugs and bullying.

There are a few teachers where they need to be fired. I one time had a chemistry class and my tutor who taught college and high school level chemistry helped me out and I still got extremely low homework grades/test grades even though I was learning the right way instead of the wrong way the teacher was teaching. Her husband is also the officer on campus for Messalonskee High School and he was not doing his job properly as well. I had a very abusive ex boyfriend and people reported (including me) to this officer that I was getting hit and I had bruises all over my body clearly representing these bruises and he did not file these papers in so "it never" happened. Other then those two experiences high school has been easy going and the teachers have been helpful and reassuring.

Overall, I've had a great four years at Messalonskee. I've enjoyed my time getting to know the teachers and participating in various clubs.
