GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My three years at Oakwood High School has been a memorable experience. While I was there I learned the most important thing in life and that it never give up. I experienced unfairness at the school however, I understand that everything is not going to always be fair, I used the situation to make me better. I pushed myself to do better and to be better to achieve a goal of being valedictorian of my class. My school is not perfect, in fact, if there is anything I would change about my school it would be the dress code. I personally believe that for children to grow in a learning environment they must be comfortable. I don't think that piercings or tattoos should be shown but i do think that my school could be more lenient with the dress code.
