Firelands is an amazing school for academics. As a sophomore I have already taken 4 college classes and have had lots of support from teachers and administrators. Firelands is very safe, however the diversity is very bad.

A great small community school that really cares about you and your education. Small class size and teacher student ratios. The athletics are amazing. I played football, baseball, and Wrestled all four years. Classes are small enough to get the extra added attention to your education. The academics are stellar. You will be ready to attend any college prepped and prepared for what is to come.

This school has allowed me to reach as far as I could, helping me achieve college credit while earning high school credit at the same time during the last two years I have worked there. The school is highly diverse and a great environment to learn in.

the discrimination that i, as a person of color who is also a part of the lgbtq+ community, have gone through at this school is absolutely ridiculous. the students are disrespectful and close minded. i have received and know other students who have received death threats just for being who they are.

8.5/10 certain clubs and activities in high school are cliquey and there were certain teachers who do play favorites but who knows those aspects probably changed from when I was in high school. But that was my overall experience and it made me who I am today.

With a few exceptions, I have been very, very pleased with my son's time at Firelands HS.
