My experience as a Senior at Central highschool has been a good one. It was my first choice of school and I've loved it since. This school year there are more than 3,500 students and around 500 or 600 in the senior class. There is a lot of diversity at the school; every class has at least one person of every race, culture, and background. The school is also a historic landmark, being the first capital building and existing in the late 1800's. All the teachers are pretty nice, and a lot of them are very inclusive. You can feel seen at this school and you will feel like you belong, no matter your character. Central is one of the best high schools in Omaha, in my opinion.

The best part about central i believe is the performing arts department. The teachers ans students for them are all very kind and accepting. I would say the worst part about central is how big it is. All of my best experiences in high school have been in the Zoo Academy Program which is school at Henry Doorly Zoo, which is a very small program and has been very enjoyable.

I don't have many negative things to say about central, and I quite enjoyed my time at the school. I love the arts departments there, all of the students are very talented and care deeply about the work that they are doing.

Many phenomenal teachers who care about their students. Like anywhere, a few teachers aren’t great but many are exceptional. The office staff is incredibly rude and disorganized. The administrators are some of the worst I’ve ever seen. Abundance of safety issues with weapons being brought to school....

I'm honestly not sure why Central High is rated so low on this site. This is widely know as one of the best if not the best in the city/surrounding area. Awesome. Loved it. Teachers were the BOMB school events were fun. There was a lot of homework help and cool clubs and I felt noticed and taken care of in a big school which was awesome. I rember my teachers and will my whole life. Also super diverse but not in a forced way. Felt like the melting pot...
