GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Orange County High school is a typical public school. It has a large student body consisting of country, and city kids. Administrators have been in and out recently (2023), but the school still offers opportunities. The students, or parents, have to work for rewards though. It is necessary for people to make appointments with councilors to plan their future.

I would like more involvement in preparing students for college. Guidance department doesn't give help and explain much needed information for applying for scholarships.

Horrible school. All of the administration should be fired. 10/10 I would not send my child or any child to this school.

Orange is a good experience! It has an older, more experienced staff that (for the most part) does their absolute best to engage their students and make learning fun! The classes are large, which is mainly because it runs the whole county. As far as students go, they are mostly nice people. They may...

This school is terrible. I was in a class of 60+ students! We had to sit in the auditorium so we could all fit. Not to mention the teacher made everyone use study guides with all the tests' answers on them not for our benefit but because he wanted to make sure he had a "good class avarage" as he put...

OCHS has also been a nightmare for my family as well. Because my daughter is Special Education on an IEP, we cannot place her in a private school. My child's Special Education Co-ordinator is also a teacher, and has followed my daughter for two years. For some reason, this co-ordinator cannot rememb...
