GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My experience with Orofino High School is very good. At Orofino, everyone knows everyone. Not one person gets degraded. It is easy to make friends here; All you have to do is put yourself out there and talk to someone. Being in the small town that we live in, there isn't a lot of opportunities that happen. The change I would like to see happen is for people to open their minds and review our school. We have really good athletes and people that have a big strength in academics. In all, Orofino is a great place to be with the community supporting you and a wonderful teacher staff doing the same.

I had a good experience here, made some good memories. I think the staff should help prepare today's students more for life after high school. From my experience teachers always made college seem like it was going to be so hard and nothing what actual college is like. I think there needs to be more positive encouragement atmosphere for students.

Most everyone is welcoming at this school. The overall support from the community and student body goes mainly to athletics, and not so much to the arts. There can be some harassment that goes under the radar, but in the end, it could be a lot worse.

Although there are a few teachers who are willing to act professionally and concentrate on making sure all students learn. There are more than half that do the minimum when it comes to prep and do not expect much in return so they don't have to grade much. There are those who loose students work and...

I went to several schools and by far, I received more help and support from the teachers at this school. They were willing to meet after class to help if I didn't understand something. Most teachers were engaging. I learned a lot to prepare me for the real world & academically. Always felt safe, did...
