GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My high school experience was pretty average. I was involved in a lot of different activities so that was a wonderful opportunity for learning. However so much changes year to year with academics and schedules and curriculum that its difficult to even remember what worked well and what didn't. I had a great counselor but principles were always changing, causing a lot of rule changes and inconsistencies.

Oskaloosa High schools has a whole bunch to offer for sports to academics. The teachers there are supper suporting and most will go out of their way to help you achieve whatever you desire. The students are kind, hardworking, and it is no problem finding friends. The academics are great, they offer college classes as well as classes that would help you i nyour future, and classes where students can express themselves.

There are definitely negatives of this school, but our children's experience has been mostly positive. Similar to most small towns, there is a lot of nepotism and favors based on your family and last name.
