Located right outside of sprawling downtown San Diego, the school is one of the brightest stars of the City of San Diego school system. Boasting its heritage as the oldest Catholic school in the city and its Western Association of Schools and College accreditation, Our Lady’s School is a religious powerhouse with traditional Jesuit instruction and a variety of afterschool activities. While known for its strong Catholic faith, the school is also celebrated for its strong academic background with its Dual-Immersion Program, which was added to its curriculum in 2017. Although its religious curriculum tends to be the main focus of Our Lady’s School, that is not all that is offered at this esteemed institution. In addition to the religious course of study, the school also offers physical education, art, social studies, science, mathematics, spelling, reading, English, as well as computer time. Its religious focus along with the many courses offered at Our Lady’s School come together to create a truly one-of-a-kind place of learning. There is no limit to what students here can achieve academically, spiritually, and socially. No matter how strong or weak a student's faith might be, there's always space for them to deepen their spirituality at the prestigiously historic Our Lady’s School.

The school has tutors to help children but the children do not take advantage of the opportunity to have help. The children need to be pushed so that they may understand what they are understanding and not just memorize things.

My school provides fire, earthquake and lock down drills for the safety of the students. I broke my leg during the summer and when I came back to school it was very hard to accommodate because of all of the stairs. The counselor helped me change a few things and it was easier to get around.

Great school with caring teachers. The children learn not only academics, but they also learn compassion, respect, leadership and Integrity. The school does a great job in balancing religion studies and academics. Highly recommend.
