SMW is very diverse and has a good range of facilities, but a lot of teachers don't care to help their students when they're struggling. There are also fights almost every other week.

During my time at Shawnee Mission West, I made some great friends. Some of the people are good, and most of the staff are excellent. However, we do have a problem with fighting and being able to actually travel during passing periods.

Overall Shawnee Mission Wear pretty good school, the staff is caring and seems to be involved. There are many selections of awesome clubs and sports for everyone. Parents seem to be involved as well making all experiences more enjoyable.

the school as a whole is pretty nice, but the teachers are so bad, everyone I know can do nothing but complain about them. that school has caused me more grief than bullying and death combined. and that's just disgraceful. I've attended that school for 4 years now, and my last day is May 13th, 2011....
