Robert Down is an excellent school. The children in my son’s class are kind, considerate and love to learn. The teachers have been amazing and supportive. Having gone to private school in the area, this public school is the closest you will get to private school. My child is excelling in every way....

So happy we left the charter school we were at in Monterey to have my son attend school here. He was really behind in reading. They helped him get caught up by offering a lot of support and extra help before, during and after school. We are grateful.

If you can imagine being a person who uses an assisted device, such as a wheel chair, needing equal access to this campus. Upon arriving at the main entrance, the only way through is to climb two flights of stairs. Now imagine being a person who will utilize the stairs. So you climb the stairs, and...

A traumatizing experience for our child, who had previously loved school before attending here. In my opinion, Robert Down is not up to date on best practices for learning differences and special needs. There was no bullying from students, however -- they were kind and welcoming.
