GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The school is corrupt because it is ran by politics. I hated all areas of student life, specifically sports because it is not based on talent.

I have never once felt threatened or in danger at my school. We do have security cameras, locked doors, and sign-ins for all guests, but even if we did not, I feel as if I attend school in a relatively safe community. The health programs are accessible and useful, and whenever I have needed medical attention the nurses are willing and knowledgeable to help.

The school is very small and rarely ever has issues with danger. However some students have stolen in the past and now they have a good security system, and the only way to get into the school is to press a button on the doors and talk to the secretary. (not just anyone can come in, you have to have a reason as to why you are there, and then sign in with a pass for however long you are staying which states your name, reason for being there and the date) I would have given this category an A but the school nurses are horrible. They aren't sanitary, they aren't even friendly. And the school doesn't provide medicine. They no longer pay for it. If a student has a headache but their parent hasn't left medicine for them, they send them back to class. You have to provide your own medicine for the school.

My daughter has blossomed at this school in her academics, physical development, socialization and community-mindedness. We had thoughts of moving over the boarder to live in Pennsylvania, but we are staying in the community specifically because of the positive impact Panama Central school is making...

We raised both of our kids in the Panama Central School system. It has great community involvement and wonderful school spirit. Everyone looks out for one another.

I graduated from Panama High School in 1964, on to Jamestown Com. coll. then on to Buff. State then onto 30 years of teaching, now retired and raising oysters in Snow Hill Maryland. Miss the old times at Panama.

Panama is a decent small school. I graduated a couple of years ago from Panama among the top students within my class. I enjoyed the small school and friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately, I found myself unprepared for college-level work. In high school I enjoyed not having much homework, not having to...
