I would say that Park Rapids is an interesting experience, that while not very diverse, due to the small town nature, is still a decent experience from my time here.

Park Rapids High School is your typical small town highschool. The administration is very discouraging of students independent learning. As a student, I felt very discouraged by the principle on achieving my goals, with little to no help from him. As a member of student council, I can also attest to the lack of student input actually taken seriously by the administration and school board. Very demeaning

We had a great support for athletics from the school, but enthusiasm in other activities lacked. The teachers occasionally lacked empathy for students. Teachers would also often speak out about their political standpoint. I had an average experience. My classmates and the activities I was involved in made it worth while.
