GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have been at Pell City High School for my whole high school career. The teachers and staff do a great job at pushing students to do their best and prepare them for college.

Great teachers. Principal changed 3 out of the 4 years that I was there. Uses little technology, almost everything is paper. Dual enrollment is very popular due to not enough class options.

It is an overall okay school just strict on things that are moreover kind of irrelevant. It does not have enough room to fit all the students, yet the teachers are kind and for the most part understanding. The music and arts program is wonderful and could be better if all the funding did not go to the football team. The counselors are always there to help and are very Supportive of their students.

Our children came from a Talladega County school over 5 years ago. I just had a child enter college and another just started 11th grade here at PCHS this year. I can tell you they were not prepared for the curriculum when we first moved. Their grades went from straight A's to C's and they did not ge...

Since new administration has been in place school has become a Great School. School still needs more community support and parental involvement.
