The overall environment and culture at Pella High is very positive. The teachers and staff really care about students and what they are teaching. The sports and music programs are both very good and have great teachers and coaches. There is also a lot of involvement in many extracurricular activities.

Pella is a great school i feel cared for by all of the teachers especially those who I'm connected to through extracurriculars which are very welcoming. I've learned new skills and gained self confidence. I feel like I know most of the kids in the school and don't feel unsafe at all. The faculty is very flexible and welcoming though at times they can shut out student voices for their own vision although they are working on improving this with new programs. The school seems to be growing and improving in all areas of student life

I love how I could experience every aspect I hoped for in a high school experience. I could focus on my schoolwork with excellent teachers and staff always willing to help. I also love how I can study what I want during my years here. I can also experience a fun sports world as we are one of the top 3A teams in many sports and I have gotten to be a part of many championships.

I've moved about ten times as a kid - I could tell that some communities were nicer than others. Interestingly enough, when returning to former communities, this one made previous places - even the nicer ones - look pretty trashy. The school mostly reflects the community atmosphere as a whole. The s...

As a graduate of Pella Community High School, I felt challenged and supported during my high school experience. The transition to college (4-year state university, honors program) was an easy one: Many of my high school classes were more difficult than a majority of my college courses. There were ma...

My school is one of the best public schools in Iowa to attend. We have an amazing teaching staff that cares about every student and want everyone to succeed. They go out of their way to do so. I like everything about my school! The staff, the sports, the programs, and the school itself! We have 1 to...
