There are regular drills (announced and unannounced) for the students and staff to learn what to do and where to go in emergencies. Due to external police activity we have had some real lockdown situations and use of the electronic alert system was necessary and functional. The local police are involved and regularly patrol the school grounds and perimeter neighborhoods. D.A.R.E. is a mandatory graded program that all students take to increase their knowledge of threats to their safety and wellbeing.

The money spent to build this new school , well my one star says it all.My son is only the second week inn and is asking me to get out of this dist. He says, there teach us the same things over and over.

Both of my children went through this school. It is where their interests blossomed. The teachers were understanding and very approachable. Both have grown up and are enjoying successful careers. Don't know what all the sour grapes is about in these other reviews.
