GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I would say my high school experience with Perry Lecompton was pretty good, But what I would love to change was the diversity in Perry lecompton also having more opportunities for college readiness with all grade levels.

I love this school because the teachers are patient, helpful, and invested. They will go out of their way to help students and put extra time in working with students outside of school. They truly care about the education and well being of their students. The staff at the school knows how to make students feel safe, heard, and cared for.

Very conservative. I love the staff, but don't like some of the students. It's a nice and average sized community, with the biggest class I've ever had being 27. The teachers are lovely and helpful (most of the time). There are many opportunities with colleges, and there is a required class that takes you on college visits. It's a pretty good school, although due to the area it's in and me being LGBT+, there are some issues. But, there is a surprisingly large underground LGBT+ community. Go figure.

My son attended middle through high school. Teachers to a wonderful job of getting to know the students in meeting their individual needs. I am also a teacher and have subbed in that district for many years and believe that this district is as good as Lawrence Public schools where I taught for many...

It was a great school with great options but as a transplant moving there the locals don't let you forget you are not one of them. And that has an impact on your learning too. Once again School GREAT locals NOT.
