Founded in 1984, 91st Psalm Christian School is private, non-denominational, multicultural Christian school serving students in kindergarten through twelfth grade in the South Mountain area of Phoenix.
With a focus on faith-centered learning, the school incorporates weekly chapel at neighboring SouthGate Church and daily bible classes into the curriculum’s calendar. In addition to religious instruction, the school’s academics focus heavily on science, technology, engineering, and math with project-based learning.
On any given day, students could be crafting honeycombs to better understand the structure and workings of bee colonies or diving into lab experiments where they’re investigating the different types of chemical reactions during the natural stages of decomposition. Instruction includes foundational subjects as well, from history and government to English and economics.
As for electives, students can pursue deeper interests in music, band, technology, business and marketing, drama, or yearbook. Broader programs throughout the year include Presidential Fitness Challenges and class projects via Junior Achievement.
Outside of the classroom, students can compete in seasonal team sports including soccer, volleyball, basketball, and cheer. 91st Psalm Christian School also hosts a number of annual events, from a Jog-a-thon fundraiser to sports tournaments and holiday celebrations.

My son is just completing pre-k and has learned to sound out words so he is reading early start books with small words, counting to 100, basic subtraction and math and so much more than I can list. He has grown so much and learned a great deal here. I love that his class size was 12 students which really allowed his teacher to focus on each students needs. The prek curriculum was wonderful for prepping my son for Kindergarten.

My daughter was not doing well because of poor attitude and peer pressure. We put her in 91st Psalm and noticed the difference right away. The teachers and principal were kind and dedicated to helping my daughter. She graduated top of her class.
