In the heart of South Phoenix, John R. Davis Elementary is a public school serving more than 300 children in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade as part of the Roosevelt School District. Here, the faculty and staff are dedicated to providing a “safe and nurturing environment that empowers students and strengthens their ties to the community.”
In addition to following a core curriculum, students at John R. Davis can further engage in learning through art, music, physical education, and computer lab. Although the school performs below the state average in reading and math test scores, students here perform at or above the district average.
As complements to in-class instruction, students can expand their learning at any time through digital programs such as ST Math, Achieve3000 Literacy, and myON digital library. Additionally, they can stay engaged in cultural and subject-focused clubs offered at the school including Folklorico dance club, math club, healthy living club, and reading club.
Among the programs offered by the district, students can also participate in a gifted program and before- and after-school activities, ranging from Mad Science and LEGO Building Bonanza to reading club and disc golf, among others. More athletic students can build Cobras team spirit while competing in basketball, soccer, volleyball, and cheerleading.

this school is terrible there`s always writing on the walls, people who tell lies just to see a fight after school and a whole lot of boyfriend drama coming from the girls!
