Educating children in Tempe since 1973, Nevitt Elementary is a public school inspiring more than 700 students in kindergarten through fifth grade as part of the Tempe School District. With a recent multimillion-dollar renovation completed, Nevitt now has 44 new classrooms and state-of-the-art facilities integrating natural daylight, fresh landscaping, and secured playground areas. Here, teachers are committed to building a “community of learners by nurturing relationships, instilling integrity, and striving for excellence.” That starts with helping all students get access to digital technology, so all kindergartens at Nevitt receive an iPad and first- through fifth-graders receive Chromebooks for their schoolwork. Outside of the core curriculum, Nevitt also offers visual arts, physical education, STEM, world language, gifted education, a dual language immersion program, and a digital innovation program that helps teachers and staff stay on top of the latest technology. Nevitt also hosts the Phoenix Afterschool Program (PAC), where students can join extracurricular activities including Book Blast reading time, STEM projects, art projects, as well as organized games and sports. Fourth graders can also compete in kickball, while fifth graders can score goals in soccer or points in basketball. In and out of the classroom, Nevitt Elementary strives to keep students active and engaged every day.

When I attended Nevitt Elementary School I enjoyed my time. The teachers were loving and I loved coming to school everyday to learn. The teacher really care for there students, they put the most effort into the students education (more that the other elementary school ive attended) and making sure they understand.

Caring staff and administrative team. They work with parents and their children to increase student success and to solve any concerns a parent may express.
