Over the years of attending Shadow Mountain high school. I have experienced what all my 8th grade teachers have said "high school will change you" "make sure to join clubs put yourself in communities" I wish I listened more when they said put yourself in clubs. My best experience was probably meeting my people and finding myself even when I never felt like I could do the work there was someone always next to me. My freshman year I made sure to take it slow while all my other friends joined million of clubs I only joined 2. My worst memory was probably when I fell in front of a lot of people while the marching band stormed the hallways a tradition during homecoming week. That's where the band students storm the halls and I fell while following while teachers laugh. The change I want to see is an encouraging change to the younger generation teaching them it's okay when you fall you can get back up. Shadow mountain made me learn how shaping someone more resilient.

Shadow Mountain High School is a great school if you're looking for no counselor involvement, no discipline, and no rules or school involvement. The teachers are great but the curriculum is everywhere.

High school was a series of roller coaster events. I think that my school focuses primarily on the NVAA Arts program. If you are not involved in this program, I feel like you are not as honored. I believe that my school does a great job of being diverse and having something for everyone, but I would love to see more focus on other clubs and organizations as well.

I've had two students attend and graduate from Shadow over a 7-year period. There are numerous teachers are passionate about their position and have a bond with students who are engaged. There is a variety of extracurriculars and clubs for the students too, depending on their interests. Unfortunatel...

I am the parent of 1 SMHS grad with one graduating in a few weeks. We have been so happy with this school. It is not our home school but we chose open enrollment at Shadow because of the DAAPS and NVAA programs. The principal and staff are very engaged and care about the students. As a parent, I rec...
