Yeshiva High School of Arizona

Yeshiva High School of Arizona

Private High School | Grade 9-12
727 E Glendale Ave,  Phoenix, AZ
Founded in 2010 by Rabbi Gavriel Goetaz, Yeshiva High School of Arizona is a private school educating boys in grades nine through twelve with a focus on the Torah. The school is affiliated with the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix and is accredited by the Torah Umesorah National Society for Hebrew Day Schools. With an enrollment under 50 students, the school offers a strong sense of belonging and community to Jewish students in the greater Phoenix area. Aside from courses in the standard suite of general studies (e.g., English, math, science, and social studies), Yeshiva hosts a Beis Medrash program, with three Sedarim of learning with two levels of Shiurim, Chazara and review with the Sedarim, and learning with Mesivta boys. The faculty include several rabbis as part of the Limudei Kodesh staff and numerous teachers for general studies classes, as well as a guidance counselor and community affairs advisor. One of the consultants for the general studies curriculum is also a former principal of South Mountain High School, with a master’s degree from Arizona State University. One of the school’s main annual events is its Bike-a-Thon, which has a mission to raise funds for a future Yeshiva High School of Arizona campus.
