GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I experienced a culture shock coming to this school from a 4A school in a much bigger city with more diversity. The teachers here will try their best to help you succeed and provide you with different resources and opportunities for more help if you need it.

The best part of my experience was the wonderful faculty and staff at Pikeville High School. The teachers are wonderful and so are the students. There really is not anything I would like to see change as it already seems perfect!

Overall Pikeville High school is a nice school, but it also depends on how you spend your time as well. Others may have worse experiences while other's may not, but in general it's a great school.

Mrs McNamee was always helpful because she kne...

They have some teachers that have no personality and are nothing...
