GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I've been to quite a few high schools because I didn't like the environment, but honestly I think this is the worst of them. They school administrators and faculty doesn't care about the students.

I have been attending Pineville High School since my sophomore year after moving down to Louisiana from Iowa. My first impressions were pleasant. I was met with an average school that was both welcoming and warm. The campus was easy to navigate and they offered various classes and early career paths. Over these last three years I have made friends with both my peers and faculty and I feel I have also excelled academically over these past three years.

2012-13 hasn't been a good year at Pineville High. I'm withdrawing my child at the end of the year. There were supposedly 200 extra students this year who transferred in from private schools. The school's administration wasn't prepared to handle this influx and made glaring errors with their schedul...
