The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Middle school is a wild time, ECS does a damn good job keeping it as cool as possible while allowing a ton of room to explore, experience, and be enriched in a safe and supportive environment.

We found that ECS worked with our son and greatly encouraged him to stretch himself. His teachers kept in touch with us for both his struggles and successes. He has more confidence in his abilities than he did at the start of this year. When we ran into the normal middle school social issues they were very responsive and worked it out so the little issues didn't become big issues. We can't say enough good things about the school, even if he is not crazy about the lunches (lol)

Overall we are very happy. The school culture is excellent. Classes are reasonably challenging although not as academically rigorous as some of the private school in the area. The school is working on diversity but definitely is not as racially or economically diverse as some of the other public schools in the area.
