Sci-tech is one of the better school in the district. It had good courses focused on STEM. I'm in the engineering course and the teacher is knowledgeable and the class is enjoyable. The environment of the school needs work, and a little more extracurricular is needed. The outside environment is good, as its in Oakland. Some of the teachers are really good, and the STEM teachers are knowledgeable about their subject. Overall, the school is good.

Pittsburgh Sci Tech has a gifted program, Advanced placement classes, College credit courses and college readiness programs. All of which, my son, Levi Linkenheimer, has benefited from. Through Sci Tech, Levi was also connected to CIEE, a high school summer abroad program in which he studied Engineering and Innovation in Berlin, Germany this past summer. Levi won a Merit and Financial need scholarship totaling 95% of the CIEE tuition costs.

I just started a couple of month ago but I have over all enjoyed my time their. The classes are more involved and the teachers want to help you succeed. I also appreciate that we can do retakes because it shows the teachers care about us doing well not just the grades.
