I love Sutherland because I never have to question my safety, which is super important. I wish we had math and science teachers that connected better with students.

I had a great experience at SHS. Most teachers created a motivating environment that encouraged discussion. My only criticism is that the funding is unevenly distributed with favoritism towards extra-curricular activities instead of classroom supplies.

I enjoyed Pittsford Sutherland High School. It was a good experience. The classes were rigorous, but there were different levels to ensure understanding of content. Although there were a few teachers who I didn't vibe with, I know many other students who enjoyed their classes and thrived with those teachers. The main thing that I don't love about Sutherland is the emphasis of sports over academics. There were certain sports teams, who aren't amazing, who made it to states or something and they got everything paid for by the school, however, an academic club, who is consistently good and makes it to states in another part of the state, has to pay fo rtheir own trip which is close to $2000.

Overall the academics are good, however the social experience and school unity there is severely lacking after many key high school events have been taken away over the years.
