Being in a very Midwest Wisconsin town, there's not much diversity. I am one of the 3 gay men at our school, and I wish there was more. The schools environment itself has never been an issue other than a few times, but I wish there was more people willing to be themselves and not fit the mold of everyone else. The teachers at the school are so sweet and helpful, and I've never had a bad experience with a teacher necessarily. This school is very good for college prep and having lots of different classes to take and a variety of sports and clubs to be in as well. It also offers a lot of college level classes and AP classes, as well as helps get internships early and get higher level jobs.

The AP program at Platteville High School is amazing and I've scored well on all of the AP tests I've taken so far. The teachers at Platteville really care about us as students and as people, and I've had a really good experience here. Something I'd like to see changed is to have better communication between the administration and the families about what is going on at different times during the school year.
