This school as a very well organized parent association. The extra-curricular activities are a lot and well managed. Kids are enthusiasts of the school. Library is very well supplied and they also have a rotating Garden Lab and a STEM lab they the kids love.

Since Ms. Pappas took over as the principal, the school completely went downhill. She has been a complete disaster for the school and the kids. I have two children who have been attending Valhalla since Kindergarten. It is a safe and collaborative community with very involved parents! The teachers have been great. My kids have thrived and learned how to read and write so quickly after 1st grade. I'm so impressed with their growth!

This school has had its rating decrease at least 2 points since changing principals. Each teacher is allowed to not teach things that are 'optional' from MDUSD. I wish there was transparency with some of the spending as the fundraising events bring in lots of $$$ but I could not tell you what it's s...
