I love the school spirit, some of the administrators policies are questionable. Most teachers are really good but others just don't care or are really rude.

I graduated in 2022 and I feel that I had a pretty great high school experience. My favorite part about the school was Mrs. Meunier, one of the band teachers. The music program and the education she gave me expanded further than just about music or academics, she taught me how to excel in life. SEP could use some improvements as all schools can hope to grow, but overall it was pretty good.

The teachers did their job and when something wasn't right they would do something about it. If there was any kind of conflict between students then they would make sure that it was taken care of. They care deeply about education/academics and want to make sure that kids are successful in the classroom. They offer resources/help all the time and teachers will be flexible with you if need be. They also prioritize safety and care about the students needs. I think one of the worst parts about my experience was during my freshman year going into my sophomore , when Covid happened and the schedule was inconsistent the whole year. That messed with my learning flow and going back and forth all the time was such a hassle. One of the best parts of my high school experience was my junior/senior year when everything started to go back to "normal" and I got back into the flow of school and balancing school/work/home etc. life.

Poor communication. The counselors we have been assigned unwilling to help resolve issues when they arise causing my students to miss important opportunities. My 4.2 GPA student was unable to apply for National Honor Society or test for National Merit Scholarship because we were not notify of these...
