GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have had a good experience here at Pleasantville High School. I am on the golf team and I love it so much. Our coach is so supportive of each one of us. I am also a yearbook editor, it is also such a good time. Our yearbook advisor is very understanding and up for anything. However, we have had safety concerns. Some of our students have threatened to shoot up the school and police have had to get involved. It has happened twice this year. I hate that this is even stuff we have to be worried about. I wish I could go to school and feel safe.

Overall I have had a pretty good experience at Pleasantville High School. It is a small town so everyone knows each other and the whole town comes together to support the school. The best experience I have had is playing football during homecoming and watching almost the entire town come together. I haven't really had many bad experiences. I would like to see our school get bigger in the future and expand learning with more classes.

Very supportive community and parents. Small school, so staff know each student. Would be helpful for parents to know about all of the clubs and activities available.
