Poly is a great school. My child has been in the lower school for a few years now. It is a lovely community - the LS leadership team is engaged, thoughtful and responsive. There is a great deal of attention paid to not just developing strong academic foundations, but also building independence and social skills for even the youngest students. Admittedly, I don't know as much about the Middle / Upper school, but there is a new Head of School who joined this month and my first impressions are really positive...

A huge lack of diversity between the staff and the student body when I attended 1999-2006. The faculty definitely catered to the needs of the wealthiest students, while actively dismissing the needs and concerns of lower income and minority families.

I have been at Poly for 3 years, and the community has really made me feel comfortable. The amount of classes is incredible, there is so much to chose from.

Poly Prep has been a complete disappointment. Teachers assign a large quantity of work, but most do minimal instruction. There are far too many "work periods" and not enough teaching. Having students work in groups on a packet or on a simple project during class time is not teaching. Assignments are...

We were very excited to be part of the school but it was a complete disaster from literally the first day when the bus he was supposed to take did not stop at the place where they told us it would.
