1 star is too many for this school. This is the absolute worst school in Broward County. The best thing that I ever did was take my kid OUT of CLMS. The only reason why anyone goes to this school is because the IAB magnet program gets you a seat at Pompano Beach High. Trust me when I say that your child won't be able to handle Pompano High after attending CLMS. My kid moved to a different magnet program across town, and he's an entire year behind in every subject. He left elementary school with 5,5,4 on his FSA, and left CLMS with a 1 & 3. After getting straight A's all year. Crystal Lake does awesome presentations and videos to try to lure kids into this horrible school. What they don't tell you is the truth. If you are the parent of a 5th grade child, and are here reading reviews trying to decide where to send your child for middle school, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do your child a favor, and stay far away from this school.

Environment=GHETTO. The reason people come to this school is the magnet programs. Even those have slipped over the past few years. They have so many students in the magnet programs with bad attitudes and poor FSA scores. They stick anyone there to fill up the seats. It is unfair to students and teachers.

1 star is too many for this school. The only reason anyone goes here is to get an automatic seat at Pompano Beach High. Trust me when I say that your child will not be prepared for the rigorous curriculum at PBHS after attending Crystal Lake. One year at that school, and my childs FSA scores dropped...

My daughter is in 8th grade in the IAB (language magnet-Spanish). She has done well in the program and we are thrilled that she will be continuing her education in Pompano Beach High School. The time at CLMS has gone so fast and we just applied today to high school!
