With my time at PHS the culture was that of a typical southern high school. The atmosphere was very tense on game-days, and competition days. What I didn't particularly enjoy was that most of the students are stuck up, and the same with the group of parents. PHS's academics have been on a steady decline the whole time I was learning there. The culture has shifted from learning to fighting and about who has "beef" with who.

I like some of the people because they are very open. But what could change is some of the teachers, and staff who do not care for the well being of students.

The band program is the best part about Pontotoc High School but overall most of my classes did not prepare me for college.

At first I thought this was a great school. They will not do anything about bullying in the schools, which is no surprise to me since the staff bullies the parents. Until they change the school board and policies I would not recommend this school.
