I really like PHS, because it truly has something for everyone. As a theater kid, I am very lucky to go here because we have an amazing budget, great teachers, and our shows are so so fun to create together. The environment here at PHS is very welcoming, and is built on mutual respect between students, teachers, staff, and more. The only bad thing I can think of when it comes to PHS is that the class times are incredibly long. Each class period is 80 minutes, and as a student with ADHD, this can become boring and make it impossible to sit still. However, in the grand scheme of things, I am still so glad to have had the privilege to go here. I hate to admit it, but sometimes I even find myself looking forward to school days.

Portsmouth High School did an adequate job preparing students for college or further education. Most of the teachers truly cared about the education of their students.

Graduating from Portsmouth High School last month, I felt relieved. I was ready to leave. But with the support team that I had during those 4 years, who helped me stay on top of my class and prepare me for what's next in this life, I couldn't thank them enough.

As a graduate of PHS I thought they did a good job preparing me for college but little did I know I was not prepared to handle the work load and social experiences. But GO CLIPPERS! You Can’t Sink This Ship!
