My overall experience while attending Poughkeepsie High School would be okay, the phone pouches is what does it for me but I feel as if they were necessary. The pouches being implemented allowed me to focus much better on the material being taught, as well as being more social with the kids and teachers around me. At this school I don't feel scared or uneasy, walking the halls I feel safe, I don't fear any harm being caused towards me or having the thought something will happen. The kids at this school are pretty racist towards Mexicans though, since I've overheard some conversations, but they don't really do anything towards you as long as you don't do anything to them. Lunch here is mediocre, it can either be a hit or miss, but it's usually okay to my liking. I've only been enrolled to this school for two years so far, but from what I've experienced so far I can say its an alright school.

Going there was great the diversity was all spread out the classes I took were AP courses which were challenging. The only downside was the safety and the administration not having enough control over the students.

If you don't speak English well, they discriminate against you, even though you're American. They tre...
