Going there was great the diversity was all spread out the classes I took were AP courses which were challenging. The only downside was the safety and the administration not having enough control over the students.

I like the community feeling it has and we are like a family. But we do lack funds for a lot of things so the quality could be better.

They don’t care about us students they just want money. There was a literally a fight a no one did anything. Worst school I went to glad I change schools

Poughkeepsie High School has challenges but it is improving. Teachers are committed. New Administration is great. I am pleased with the changes and look forward to a bright future.

Poughkeepsie High School is not great, but you make the most of what you have. If students utilize the resources given to them, they can go far. Security here is a joke and the administration is no better. However, most teachers really put effort into helping their students. Food is horrible to dece...

PHS IS A WONDERFUL SCHOOL WHO CARES FOR THEIR STUDENTS AND IS ALWAYS HANDING OUT AMAZING OPPURTUNITIES. ITS NOT WHERE YOU, ITS WHAT YOU GO THERE AND DO. POUGHKEEPSIE HAVE HAD STUDENTS WHO HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED TO ELITE COLLEGES WITH FULLRIDES, FOR EXAMPLE MYSELF.
