Established in 1999, the Preuss School is a coed college preparatory charter school located on the campus of the University of California San Diego. Located at 3750 Voigt Drive in La Jolla, Preuss is a middle and high school and enrolls approximately 850 students in grades six through 12. Home of the Tritons, the school specializes in preparing students to become successful college scholars. With a staggering 96% of the graduating class of 2022 accepted into a four-year university, the school’s success rate speaks for itself.
In collaboration with University of California San Diego requirements, core classes include English, math, science and history. Featured electives include technology, engineering, visual and performing arts, leadership development and literacy support. The school offers a Saturday Enrichment Academy for at risk students who are struggling academically which provides tutoring and assists students in completing assignments.
The Preuss School emphasizes the development of the whole student and integrates celebrations and special events into its curriculum including dances, homecoming, spirit week, community awareness projects and cultural events.

The Preuss School UCSD is a great school to attend. The teachers are nice and helpful, and they care about their students. The environment is nice aswell.

Preuss is a nice and small school. Mixed with students with many different background and ethnicity. The school gets us students for the next step which is college and makes you take the ap course to start preparing them for the future.
