GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Priest River is a decent school. The staff at the high school is caring and mostly good at their jobs. However, there isn't much diversity or acceptance among students. There also isn't much discipline going on.

I would like to see the teachers teach how the kids learn instead of just teaching the the class as a whole. The math department needs to be greatly improved. School spirit is low. The kids are really wanting improvements and are feeling frustrated that they are not seeing any. My senior student is feeling really unprepared for college and is working hard to get scholarships but his grade point average is low due to the lack of help he received in the math department. The Welding and Wood shop departments seem to be a strong point and a reprieve for the kids. Leadership class is weak and losing the kids interest.

Priest river lammanna highschool has a nice wrestling and football team, who make sure that students are passing wit a 2.75 to be elligable to participate, however the staff are not very good and are causing a lot of legal problems for the school and the adminstration targets certain individuals. Their electives were plentiful when i was attending but now my brother and sister are attending and have been limited due to legal and financial problems in the school.
