Lorene Rogers Middle School was dedicated in 2008 to meet the demands of the tremendous growth in Prosper, Texas. The school is located at 1001 S. Coit Rd. in Prosper, Texas, among beautiful homes, nearby businesses, and open ranch land. Rogers Middle School is highly rated and has a current enrollment of 1451students in grades six through eight. Rogers Middle School was named after Dr. Lorene Rogers, the first woman president of the University of Texas. With her namesake and heritage, Dr. Rogers continues to be an inspiration to excellence in education for teachers, students, and parents alike. The continued growth of the area is evident in the seven portable classrooms. The school is, however, built to accommodate further expansion. Students at Rogers Middle School are afforded the opportunities to be involved in numerous clubs and activities, both academic as well as extracurricular. The school prides itself on student participation and involvement. There is a place for every student with clubs too numerous to list. Parent involvement in booster clubs for sports, parent-teacher organizations, and community events ensures student engagement in the school and community. Students compete in academics with the University Interscholastic League. Visual and performing arts are vibrant at Rogers with the band, choir, orchestra, theatre, and art. Physical education is vital and is supported by a football field and track, tennis courts, and outdoor basketball courts, all state-of-the-art. “Together We Soar!” This is the cry of the Eagle mascot leading these students into bright futures.

At Lorene Rogers you not only feel safe and secure, but you also learn quite a bit at school. While other schools have students running around and chasing each other, we focus on our work and do as much as possible in a certain class period. I could not say enough good things about this school.

They teachers and counselors are parents of the students that are bullying my daughter at this school. After reading the information on this page about how this behavior have been tolerated at this school for quite some time, I completely understand what I have been dealing with.

I've been at Rogers for 3 years now, and here's my honest opinion. Rogers is truly a horrible school. And there are a host of reasons. First off, bullying and harassment is not addressed at all!
