Providence Hebrew Day School was created to educate students through the lens of the Torah. The day school serves prekindergarten students through 12th grade via three separate divisions which are early childhood, K-8 and New England Academy of Torah Girls High School. Founded in 1946, Providence Hebrew Day School is the oldest Jewish day school in Rhode Island. It currently has 148 students with a student-to-teacher ratio of 8 to 1.
Located on the quiet street of Elmgrove Avenue on the East Side, the school is conveniently placed just a few blocks up from the Jewish Community Day School and Jewish Community Center. Offering a comprehensive curriculum on all secular subjects, as well as Judaic studies and Hebrew languages, Providence Hebrew Day School is accredited by both the Rhode Island Department of Education and the Bureau of Jewish Education of Rhode Island.
Students can participate in extracurricular such as drama productions and spelling bees. Hosting a variety of events throughout the year such as candle lightings, Providence Hebrew Day School serves as a congregational center for the Jewish community on the East Side and beyond. Providence Hebrew Day School instills values in its students such as ethics, morality and kindness.

We sent four of our girls to High School at NEAT. We live in New Jersey. They did board for all 4 years but the experience was superior to any option closer. Our girls excelled in their studies, joined clubs such as mock trail, and rave over their high school experiences years later.
