GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I would like to see more involvement with extracurricular activities and school spirit in the future.

I was there for 3 years and it was alright. I had some good teachers and bad teachers which is pretty average in high school. The food was meh (not enough funding), and college readiness wasn't a big deal whereas sports like football and basketball were a high priority. Academically, it was okay but wasn't focused on too much. I had a rough time trying to find internships and college opportunities in the 3 years I was there.

South High School overall is a pretty good school. Majority of the teachers truly came about the student education, however you can definitely tell there are some teachers who don't really care to be there. The school spirt and the support shown by students for athletic teams is oustanding.
