Swallows Charter Academy is a great school to attend. They are caring and help you if you are struggling. They do not judge you and are not mean. It is an amazing school.

I got into Swallows in the 3rd grade. It was a K-8 school at that time. Since then, the school added a high school and has doubled or tripled grades K-8. The school is now more than twice the size it used to be and I don't know if that's a good thing. Administration has started to care about numbers more than students. More students = more money, and I understand. Swallows has always been a poor school. But I feel like we thrived under that mentality. I feel like the students and faculty had an unspoken understanding that "We are the smallest and poorest school in Pueblo, but we strive to be the best anyways." And my parents recognized that when they put me on the waiting list. They were overjoyed when I got accepted because the waiting list was so long. 15 years ago parents would put their newborn babies on the Swallows waiting list because they knew it was worth the wait. I still love Swallows but I feel like administration should stop worrying about money. Focus on the students.

I am a student at swallows and they provide many resources for us. The teachers are amazing and take time to make sure everyone in the class understands the content. We are being prepared for college from seventh grade, they give us an environment that is similar to college so when we attend we are ready. Swallows has the Early College Program where highschool students can attend highschool while still earning both college and highschool credits.
